One of Sartre’s main ideas is that human beings are born free, in a moral and existential sense. They are therefore fully responsible for their own actions and their own lives. Sartre also rejects that there are any true human nature and that life is built on subjective interpretations. In this series I am trying to visually capture this position, between existential freedom and subjective interpretation by working with obscured views and different sections in the image. The camera has a somewhat secure place, glancing at the hidden and unknown, a place that can be both unheimlish and fantastic..
